K. Elaine Alston specializes in healing and preventing wounds and focuses on patient centered care. She is certified by the American Board of Wound Management as a wound care specialist, and has helped patients with complex wounds for over 15 years. Karen is a certified physician assistant and holds a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. She has been a clinical researcher, leader of hospital quality improvement projects, adjunct faculty, and preceptor for multiple universities. She has also served as a community volunteer for senior wellness and diabetic foot care and amputation prevention services.
